The Role

We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and grow our core engineering team.

This is an execution-focused engineering management role centered on people leadership, delivery, and accountability. While strong technical skills are important, success in this role comes from effectively managing engineers, building a healthy team culture, and ensuring work is planned and delivered with quality and predictability.

You’ll report into engineering leadership and partner closely with Product and technical leaders to ensure alignment, execution, and delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Own team health, performance, and professional development
  • Set clear expectations around ownership, accountability, and quality
  • Establish and run lightweight processes that improve planning, delivery, and predictability
  • Raise the bar on technical planning and execution without unnecessary overhead
  • Partner with Product to scope, prioritize, and deliver work effectively
  • Hire and onboard engineers as the team grows

What Success Looks Like

Engineering operates with clear ownership, thoughtful planning, and predictable delivery. Engineers are engaged in product discussions, releases happen with confidence, and quality issues, regressions, and rework are consistently reduced. The broader business trusts engineering commitments and timelines.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing engineers in a product-centric SaaS organization
  • Proven ability to introduce and run effective process in low-process environments
  • Background in startups or lean, execution-oriented companies
  • Strong business judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable leading without layers of management
  • Experience with US-based tech companies; US-based, ideally West Coast
  • Past experience as a developer
